But what valor and strength did he not display in the victory which he gained over the two greatest enemies of man, the devil and the world, and by the practice of a most perfect humility, as we have said, throughout the whole course of his life? The devil, who for want of humility, and because he would not accept if for his inseparable companion, was driven out of heaven and cast down into hell, is so great an enemy to the lowly virtue, that there is no sacrifice or invention he will not use to make men fall away from it – so much the more because it is a virtue which renders them infinitely pleasing to God. We may therefore well say, “Valiant and strong in humility; he will be conqueror at once of the devil and of the world, which is full of ambition, vanity and pride.” Conf XIX, On the Virtues of St. Joseph, p. 379.

Ember Days are here this week , let us fast and pray extra for our Pope and the Bishops as we enter deeper into the era of Apostasy
Four times a year these quarterly periods take place around the beginnings of the four natural season Weds Friday and Saturday one meal fast & partial abstinence from meat
These Quatretemps were begun by the 1st decendents of the apostles in conjunction with thousands of converted Jewish and codified in the period from St Jerome to Pope Calixtus in 221AD mirroring the four natural seasons & Jewish fulfillment Their dates can always be remembered to follow these important season changing feasts with this old mnemonic:

Sant Crux, Lucia, Cineres, Charismata Dia Ut sit in angaria quarta sequens feria.For non-Latinists, it might be easier to just remember “Lucy, Ashes, Dove, and Cross.”
Then quarter holidays follow.

The traditional Latin rite has kept them intact to this day while various Bishops Conferences like the USCCB suppressed them in the new Rite The Ember Weds in all four seasons are dedicated penance to our Lady & alms
FSSP will have candlelit Mass in St Mary Major in Rome and Holy Innocents Ny as well.

In addition to prevention of calamity of the family members and the lands of traditional families of the Faith…….the Ember days specific to December were introduced by the Apostles as a preparation for the ordinations to occur during that month. The scriptural basis for this practice is to be found in Acts 13:2

All of their cumulative teachings proclaim in every numbered article , post , essay and paper that its objective is to insist on the deposing , abolishment , suppression and upstaging of Catholicism in its current form , meaning from the Church Fathers to the Council . The reinvention of a new Catholicism in every discipline was put forth and as they said in many a proclamation sits there in a body of teaching awaiting for the first brave Pope to implement it We are at the point in Roman Catholic history where every last established teaching prior to the Council in the disciplines of , ecclesiastics, dogmatics, doctrine, theology, Sacramental theology, exegesis , monarchy, social teaching, and Church government is very close to being “officially” outlawed

“just as it is licit to resist a Pontiff who attacks the body, it is also licit to resist a Pope who attacks the soul or …. above all, who attempts to destroy the Church. To speak of our Lord, the son of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as true and perfect man is of no value to us if we do not believe that he is descended from the line of ancestors set out in the Gospel.
Matthew’s gospel begins by setting out the genealogy of Jesus Christ, son of David, son of Abraham, and then traces his human descent by bringing his ancestral line down to his mother’s husband, Joseph. It is a progressive modernism made up of a hybrid of new-jesuitism, doctrinal eveolution, syncretism, the embracing of the abstract, immanentism, panentheism (meaning “all-in-God”, from the Ancient Greek πᾶν pân, “all”, ἐν en, “in” and Θεός Theós, “God”) is the belief that the divine pervades and interpenetrates every part of the universe and also extends beyond time and space. What shape can we find/ Let us consider a prism: the prism is unity, but all its parts are different; each has its own peculiarity, it’s charisma. This is unity in diversity. It is on this path that we Christians do what we call by the theological name ecumenism.

The logical framework was already established by the dissident revolutionary Popes before him especially Pope Benedict. Ratzinger was the writer, philosopher and theologian of their revolution. He let the progressivists party of the revolution know who he was by abandoning cassock attending every session of Council in business suit and black tie. Everyone forgets that Father Ratzinger, Bishop Ratzinger has written some of the most heretical books the Church has ever seen, of which I have read several and could do a line by line with anyone who disbelieves this. This was all prior to his conversion and his late in life attempt to reverse course 180 degrees and revert to tradition. The progressives did not conspire against him to leave the Pontificate that loved him through the end of his Pontificate because he paved the way for the revolution’s next phase that they believe cannot be stopped

The Vatican has invoked diplomatic immunity in refusing to deliver a French court summons to the prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Cardinal Luis Francisco Ladaria Ferrer, in a case against a French cardinal.

The Holy See informed the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in September that it would not notify Cardinal Ladaria of an order to testify before the Lyon court regarding a letter he sent while secretary of the CDF.

One very concrete way (as “concrete” seems to be a popular ecclesial term these days) to introduce young Catholics to beauty, order, and permanence is through exposure to the traditional Latin Mass. During the official press briefing this afternoon, the topic of liturgy was mentioned by a few members of the panel. These are causes many Catholic suspect, but only few have the courage to express. This book constitutes a noble denunciation made for the love of the Catholic Church, and turned toward Our Lord asking Him to heal her.

The work is also a valuable resource tool, presenting Catholic teaching on homosexuality with quotes from Scriptures, Popes, Saints and Canon Law.”

“The Church’s Greatest Crisis” -On Crisis Magazine

The headlines in the September 7 issue of L’Osservatore Romano presented the pope’s Letter on the World’s Day of Prayer for Creation. The Letter is about access “to clean water.” The ancient Romans were famous for building aqueducts to bring water into cities. If anyone lacks water today, it is not because we do not know how to purify and distribute water resources. It is almost entirely due to economic and political choices. The technical means or know-how for providing water is not a major theological concern of Christianity as such. Christ walked on water, turned water into wine, helped a woman at a well draw it up, and was baptized with it in the Jordan. He never designed a dam to provide water for Nazareth or Jerusalem. He evidently assumed that men could eventually figure this task out without the need of revelation.

A pope can mention the problem of water availability or other such issues, but his is not the task to provide technical solutions even if he had a doctorate in water engineering. One can question whether the pope’s views of economics and politics that tend toward socialism encourage a system that easily provides water on a large-scale basis. Many people of good will wonder why, if the pope can talk of clean water, he cannot talk about his own record or what he holds on issues that certainly do fall within his competency. These latter issues are what perplex people and which give impetus to the reportage of Der Spiegel.
